





Client: Soda Fizz Role: Branding and package design Mixed powder drinks are a multi-billion dollar industry in emerging markets, and it appears sales are growing over recent years. We believe major soda brands have become too expensive.... with up to five powdered mix drinks to one can of soda, we felt there was an opportunity to do something different. During our research phase we stumbled on a question – If people love fizzy drinks so much, why isn't anyone selling powdered mix drinks that fizz? In creating Soda Fizz, we aimed to re-assure our audience with a more classic design, and position ourselves as the premium product in this category. Vendors buy Soda Fizz in boxes of 50, and sell individual sachets to customers for roughly $ 0.25 each from informal trading stalls or spaza shops. The orange, grape or crème soda servings are simply poured into a 250ml cup or glass of water, and dissolves without stirring. It remains fizzy for around 30 minutes.
